It is our goal to make every customer a happy customer. We have established and posted our business policy so that all customers are clear on the rules here at Whispering Meadows Ranch. Please read this page before signing up for any classes, making appointments or purchasing any packages. We truly hope you enjoy your time with us!
1. Cancelation Policy - To cancel an appointment we require 24 hours notice by phone or email. Your appointment will be rescheduled on the next available business date. You will be charged full price for any no show without proper notice.
2. Availability - We reserve the right cancel your appointment for emergency reasons. Your appointments are based on availability. If we do not have the proper staff on hand or horses available for your appointment it will be rescheduled for the next available time. Please call 24 hours prior to your appointment for confirmation. All rain days will be rescheduled for the next available business day. Please call before your appointment if there is a concern of cancelation.
3. Appointment Time - You are responsible for being on time for your appointment. Please be 10 minutes early. Our appointments are on a tight scheduled. If you are late your appointment will be shortened without a credit or a refund. If you are running late please call to see if we can change our schedule, we will do our best to accommodate you but this is not a guarantee we will be able to do so.
4. Child Care - We do not offer child care. Your children must be accompanied by a parent or a responsible person during your lesson. Our facility can be dangerous for unsupervised children. YOUR CHILDREN ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. We do not allow your children to be unsupervised at any time. We reserve the right to reschedule your lesson if you do not have proper child care. Please do not be offended by this. This is for the safety of you and your child.
5. Youth Lessons - Parents or guardian must remain on the property during youth lessons. If you can not accompany your child you must reschedule your child’s lesson.
6. Private Facility - We are a private facility and only available by appointment only. NO WALK-IN'S PLEASE. If you would like to tour the facility before deciding to make an appointment we will gladly accommodate you at a convenient time. Please call or email us for an appointment. We appreciate everyones love for horses and animals but we are not a zoo. If you just want to feed treats please contact a facility that is open to the public.
7. Horses and Trainers - All of our horses and Trainers are subject to availability. We do not guarantee that you favorite horse or trainer will be available for your lesson. If you want a specific horse or trainer please call to see if they will be available for your appointment.
8. Semiprivate - Our lessons are “semiprivate”. This means you will not always be the only person in your appointment time. You may request an appointment at a time when we are less busy if you would like more one on one attention. Semiprivate is not a group lesson. We will not have more than four appointments scheduled at one time.
9. Waiting Area - We will accommodate your guests in our waiting area only. We offer a seated waiting area for you or your guests. During your appointment they will be restricted to that area. Any guests or spectators will not be allowed to roam the facility. There are many hazards in an equestrian facility and this is for the safety of all our guests. We will gladly give your guests a tour if our schedule permits.
10. Refunds - Absolutely no refunds on any prepaid packages or programs. We are a private facility and the money made from these packages and programs goes toward the upkeep of the facility and the care of our horses. If you are not able to use your prepaid package we will gladly allow you to transfer it to whomever you wish under the same terms as when it was purchased. Please notify us in advance if you intend to give a package as a gift or transfer it to someone else.
11. Packages and Programs - Packages and Programs do not expire unless specified at time of purchase. They are however subject to the same terms as when they were purchased.
12. Payment Policy - All appointments will be paid for in advance either by check or cash. We do not accept credit cards. If your prepaid appointments are over you may purchase another package or special that is available for that month. We will not honor any expired specials.
13. Dress Code - You are required to dress in jeans or appropriate pants. No shorts! Boots or tennis shoes. No open toed shoes. T-Shirt or dress top. Helmets are supplied but you may bring your own if you wish. Helmets are only mandatory for children under 18 years old.
14. Donations - We will gladly accept donations for our cause. It is very expensive to rescue horses and your help is greatly appreciated. For your cash donation you will receive a special sponsor T-Shirt and a Blog on our site. Labor donations are also accepted but based on availability. Please call for more information.
15. Release of Liability - Every person at this facility must sign a proper release of liability form. All children at this facility must have a parent or legal guardian sign for them. NO EXCEPTIONS!
16. Insurance - Every person enrolled in our program or lessons must have their own medical insurance. We do not supply medical insurance in the event that you or your child is injured. We will not accept liability for any injuries or damages. Horseback riding CAN BE DANGEROUS. We exercise all possible cautions and safety practices during your appointment but horses are large animals with their own minds and acts of nature can occur. Please be warned that this can be dangerous. We do not recommend this for people with any health conditions or for pregnant women. Please ask your doctor for his suggestion.
